Bowling Equipment Mechanic Repairer

Responsible for ensuring lanes, automatic pinsetters, pins, bowling balls, ball returns, speed cradle stops, scoring equipment, and all other related mechanical are operational. Maintains detailed preventative maintenance schedules for all electrical and mechanical equipment and the maintenance and repair of all equipment to ensure operational excellence. Ensures all work and services meet manufacturer's specifications. Inspects bowling facility electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and systems. Diagnoses malfunctioning equipment, determines the correct course of action to repair. Conditions and repairs bowling pins and lanes, ensuring USBC standards compliance. Maintains required records and reports; initiates request for spare parts, supplies, and hand equipment. , Ensures proper standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety of area of responsibility, including workshop are maintained at all times. Cleans and lubricates machines. Measures and regulates sweep of rakes on automatic pinsetters using hand tools and gauges. Runs automatic pinsetter through complete cycle and inspects for pin setting accuracy. Maintenance may require the use of electronic or electrical test equipment and a variety of hand tools. Serves alternate facility manager, in the absence of the manager, validates daily cashier reports produced by other staff, ensures cash register is cleared and funds are deposited each day; approves financials within SAIS. Work in accordance with all Air Force policies, regulations, instructions and procedures. Assists manager in preparing annual forecasts for major and minor improvements, and equipment and supply purchases. Establishes and maintains a 5 year replacement plan. Experience:
Must have or be able to attain pinsetter certification certificate. Fundamental knowledge to include to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams and manufacturer's service manuals in the application of mechanical/electrical principles and operating characteristics pertaining to bowling equipment and its components, including resistors, diodes, capacitors, motors, transformers, switches and relays in testing repairs. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices and procedures pertaining to pin spotter operations. Knowledge of United States Bowling Congress (USBC), Young American Bowling Alliance (YABA) certification requirements. Experience which demonstrates the ability to operate, control, and clean heavy power equipment In addition to the above requirements, applicant is required to demonstrate proficiency in typing and knowledge of word processing techniques. Must also have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control methods.Must have ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public.
