Qualifications:
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-8800 - Aircraft Overhaul Group. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to do the job of a Aircraft Worker Leader without more than normal supervision JOB ELEMENTS:
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the makeup, operation, installation, and adjustment of a variety of major interrelated and/or integrated aircraft systems, subsystems, and assemblies such as fuel and hydraulic systems, flight control systems, instrumentation systems, engines, landing gear assemblies, airframe, and control surfaces on assigned aircraft. 2. Skilled in interpreting and Appling instructions, specifications, blueprints, and technical orders. Skilled in Launch; Recover; Inspect; Service; Tow; and perform ground handling functions on assigned aircraft. Ability to diagnose malfunctions of aircraft systems and components with the assistance of higher grade mechanics. 3. Skilled in interpreting and applying safety regulations, practices, and procedures. Skilled in supply procedures, the publication order system, and documentation procedures. Skilled to document work performed in both AFTO 781As and IMDS. Skilled on tool; equipment; materials accountability and control. Skilled to clean work/job site upon completion of work. 4. Skill in the use of standard and specialized tools and test equipment including fixtures, templates, scales, test stands, and external power sources. Skill in reading and understanding data and settings from cockpit instruments and gauges. Ability to rig, function test; determine when systems are operating properly or whether portions of the system should be repaired or replaced; and the type and extent of adjustment and alignment needed. 5. Ability to establishes and maintains good working relationships. 6. Thorough knowledge of T-1; T-6; or T-38 flightline operations. Physical Effort:
The work requires moderate to strenuous effort. Must climb, bend, stoop, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods on concrete or metal surfaces. Frequently lifts parts and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. Occasionally may lift nd carry items that weigh about 50 pounds with mechanical lifting devices or with assistance from other workers. Working Conditions:
Work is performed in hanger areas, outdoors, in parked aircraft, and sometimes in hazardous noise areas. Exposed to extremes in heat, cold, and inclement weather. Must work in confined areas and in awkward positions. Exposed to dirt, grease, and aircraft fluids, oil, hydraulic fluid, solvents, and hazardous fluids and gases such as Hydrazine and Halon. Subject to cuts, bruises, muscle strain, and injury from falling off scaffolds, ladders, and aircraft surfaces. May be exposed to intake suction and hot exhaust blast. PART-TIME OR UNPAID
Experience:
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
